There have been a lot of shootings happening lately. Many shootings in the last month or so have taken place in my neighborhood, very near my home. Now I'm not one to get scared all the easily and I damn sure am not one to admit when I'm scared, but lately I've been scared out of my mind. I'm moving away from here as soon as I can."--I feel the exact same way. That's one of the reasons why I can't wait to go off to college. I hear shots from my house too sometimes. It's really sad and most of the time I refuse to believe it was a gun shot. I'll just think to myself, "Oh, it was just a backfire from a car or something else" even though I know it was probably a shot.

It's also scary that I know people who go to those schools too. We always joke about how we would leave XRDS if we could and go to Sierra or Washington or Crenshaw or wherever, but maybe it's a good thing that we go to a safe school. We just have to deal with all the thieves at XRDS, and all the hard work and pressure...all that damn traffic on the freeway. Id much rather be safe and work my ass off than be unsafe and breezing through school...what the hell with these long
