Why is Stargate so awesome?

LMFAO!!! WTF is this? I was flipping through the channels and stopped on SciFi because I thought Team America was on, but it's actually some weird marrionette-parody of Stargate. It's hysterical! OMG, wait. It's part of a real episode. *dies dies dies* Here it is!

I love Stargate, but I wish I kept up with it better. I'll have to get the DVD collections.

Good luck on that front! I'm a sci-fi nut and I'm barely past Season Two of the TEN!
(And then comes the movies and Atlantis' FIVE seasons!)

Eh, I wasn't too thrilled with Atlantis.

"200" was both the 200th episode and a nod to fans. It includes:

- Hotter, younger stars as the cast in an Orange County-ish version of the show
- FARSCAPE parody (with two of the original cast, one messing with their original role!)
- Team America meets Stargate (HELL yeah! Original production team of the T.A.W.P puppets worked with the SG1 show too!)
- And other crazy shit!

All of this spins from the plot of a character from a past episode, who wrote of the crew on "real TV" as the fictitious "Wormhole EXTREME!", pitching the idea for the "Wormhole EXTREME!" movie soon to a studio, so he pitches the script to the original crew who inspired the show, to see what they think of his ideas.

After that, it's a bit of insanity, a bit of fanservice, all bloody amusing!
(Especially if you're a Farscape fan that followed Ben "John Crichton" Browder and Claudia "Aeryn" Black to SG1 as "Mitchell" and "Vala"!)

Apparently the conference was:

"Sooo...200th show...what shall we do to celebrate?"
"An amusing show for the fans!"
"Well, gives the action a breather and lets us try satire...let's do it!"
