FIC: Interlude on the TARDIS, Tenth Doctor/Captain Jack Harkness, NC-17

Feb 11, 2008 14:22

I’m afraid my f-list will be disappointed that my latest fic is not a House/Wilson. During the hiatus, I became an ardent Doctor Who fan, and this story is about the Tenth Doctor, played by adorkable David Tennant, and Captain Jack Harkness, played by gorgeous John Barrowman. I’m feeling dirty about writing this story, as Doctor Who is a family ( Read more... )

I found the constant usage of the word 'prick' very distracting and awkward. As I don't really like the word itself, when you'd used it for the fifth time or so, I nearly stopped reading. What I noticed is that when you're using a particular word, you use it a few times in a row, though you know others ( ... )

Well, that's okay. I could always use the criticism, and most people don't take the time or else they are not always as frank as you. I understand you don't like the word 'prick' but that's one of the biggest challenges of writing porn, running out of words to describe the human body and the act of sex. Everyone's got different triggers - I don't like the word 'dick' which some would argue is preferable to 'prick' but to each their own. However, I think that the number of words any individual finds acceptable for sex organs and the act itself are very few. We all have our squicks, I guess is what I am trying to say, and you can't please everyone ( ... )

Well, thanks. It's just a personal thing. Some people don't like it, others are okay with it. I can't deal with 'dick' or 'member' or 'manhood' or even 'penis.' And that's only the words for the male sexual organs that I can't stand. The list goes on and on... everything from 'pre-come' to 'keened,' is part of my list of unacceptable words that make me hit the Back button ( ... )

Thank you! I do think I might try a Torchwood fic next. The hard part with writing the Doctor into a sex scene is that he's alien; his skin's supposed to be cold and his two hearts beat twice as fast as a human's. There's no way to know what sex with the Doctor would be like, so it does require some imagination. It can't be too foreign, because my human readers wouldn't find it sexy, but it should be different, because after all, he's not human.

I think it will be easier to write a Jack/Ianto fic but I hope to keep on going in the Whouniverse... though I have not abandoned Housedom and my next fic will probably be a House/Wilson.

I am so glad you liked it :) Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks! I imagine that Ten is a bit of a tease... have you noticed how tight his trousers are? He's got a playful, cheeky personality that just seems likely to be a flirty tease in intimate moments.

Your icon is awesome! John Barrowman looks very engrossed in those script changes...I'm sure he'd be nothing loath! (He's mentioned that he finds DT sexy and flirts with him... I think the exact quote is that he likes to play eensy-weensy spider up DT's leg).

Thanks for the feedback, I'm delighted you found it hot.

I know, isn't it a lovely thought! I read it on the "David Tennant Appreciation Thread" at http://www.doctorwhoforum.com/ They said it was from a JB interview in Heat magazine. However, digging deeper, I see that it's a misquote.

Yay for stories without a plot! XD I think it is very difficult to write porn because of the reasons that have been previously mentioned in earlier replies and so I salute you for being brave enough to try it. Bravo!

Thank you! It's challenging not to get too repetitive when writing porn. On one hand, what makes writing sexy is lingering over all the details with long, slow, loving descriptions. But on the other hand, the more you linger over the details, the sooner you run out of words to say the same thing.

As far as bravery, well, I've been writing House/Wilson porn for awhile now so I guess I've gotten used to it. It was a leap to write Doctor Who porn, because I kept feeling guilty about the fact that it's a family-friendly show that is very PG-rated. Not that it stopped me in the end!

Glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback.
