Thank you! I do love to write in the 19th-century style, although for this particular story, it was more early 19th/late 18th century - my first Age of Sail porn (usually I write in a more 1890s style). Although I usually write slash, I had this urge to write a heterosexual scene and riff on what I imagine to be Hornblower's sexual naivete.

I am a big fan of your writing too (from Archive of Our Own). I have to write some Hornblower/Pellew slash! He doesn't have a big role in the novels but in the A&E series, he loves Hornblower so much he actually gets choked up about the possibility of Hornblower hung for mutiny.

Well, well, well, look who's back with all of her porny goodness! I know nothing about the Horatio Hornblower books, other than my dad owned the whole series (so this kind of weirds me out, but then, to read slash/AU you have to be extremely broadminded). As usual, hot hot hot!

If you are tempted to read them, Lieutenant Hornblower is the most epic m/m romance (sans any acknowledged sex) you have ever read.

Oh, they are such great books, I highly recommend them. They are surprisingly psychological and in many places, quite slashy, as the aforementioned Lieutenant Hornblower, also Flying Colours, in which Bush and Hornblower hold hands and sleep together. If you like historical fiction, you will love them. At least rent the A&E series, which is only loosely based on the books, but Ioan Gruffudd as Hornblower is to die for.

Oh I do love it when Bush gets to take the lead. Quite the story, I really enjoyed reading. I must admit some of the language sent me giggling, but that only made it more fun.

Thank you! I figured Mr. Bush would have more experience in this area than Hornblower... the antiquated language is an acquired taste.
