I call Shenanigans!

After viewing the first part of the season finale, I have put a lot of thought into trying to figure out how it'll all turn out. I've come up with a couple of personal theories that have absolutely no basis in fact.  But, mostly, I just want to call shenanigans on RTD.

I think of it this way; It's scifi. No one is EVER really dead in scifi. XD

I'm writing what will probably be this
horribly Mary Sue DW fic with just that in mind. (Really, it's possible it'll never see the light of day, but I have to get it out of my head.)

I'm kind of hoping that Donna turns out to be Romana or something.

I really wish I could share what I have heard, spoiler wise. But you would kill me with the power of your brain from across the country.

Excellent point. How many damn cat lives do the Daleks have, anyway?

I haven't watched past Turn Left but I'm loving reading everyone's reactions to the latest episode.

So...

Gallifrey and the Time Lords could make a return. Door's wide open for that.

Donna...could be a fobwatched Romana. Say she regenerated as a young child, was run through the Arc, and raised by Sylvia Noble (is "Donna Noble" a clue?)

Donna is somehow part of, or the complete, Key To Time. And the Black Guardian is lurking. the ressurected Davros and the Daleks and the planet shift are part of that.

Or...it's enormous amounts of wankery on the part of RTD. Which is what I suspect. "The Stolen Earth" is a big shaggy mess of an episode, and I don't trust Big Russell to actually coherently and honestly plot his way out of the corner he set himself up in. From the looks of it this year's Tinkerbell Jesus Doctor is going to Dueling Doctors...gee, Superman Red and Superman Blue....

In defence of RTD:

This story line about surviving Darleks comes right out of old story lines that date themselves "after" the time war.

Darleks are single minded and don't empathise, and that's easy to mistake for ignorance or stupidity, but it's neither.

Still, I can't wait for Saturday to discover whether I'll be really amazed or be hunting him down to kill him.
