what did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?

i feel the same way about after a person dies. and i also hate when they say we're going to a funeral because someone died. i think it's more of a celebration of life than anything.

the polar express was so cute. the guy who wrote the book lives about 30 minutes from me.

happy holidays!

chris van allsburg?!! he is amazing.
I was kind of nervous about the depiction of santa claus... I thought his voice was a little rapist-esque at times and his nose was too big and he wasn't fat enough, but altogether, I still really enjoyed it. I felt kind of christmas-y during it and it made me wish I still believed.

happy holidays.

I believed in santa forever. my parents did such a good job... I want to do that for my children. anyway, one year (I was like eleven, shut up, santa is real!) I left a note saying "sign your name here, santa" and it looked surprisingly like my dad's handwriting and then I was like "damnit." however, I kept pretending that I believed because I kept getting presents from santa that way. it also helps to have younger siblings because then they're obligated to get you a gift from santa. and the ones from santa are always the best, which sucks, because the parents get no credit for them.

I always wondered why I found carrots in the garbage one day on christmas (I left carrot sticks out along with the cookies for santa's reindeer, obviously) and it's because my dad hates carrots. he was really discreet with that one.

they are awesome! final straw is a really good cd. which song off of it is your favorite? 'run' was the first one I really liked... but 'wow' is really just wow and 'tiny little fractures' is so good and 'chocolate' is too... the whole cd is good, there are no songs that I have to skip over.

I love 'Run' too, I really need to make an effort to hear the rest of the CD.

"omg! he just signed online!" and ducks out the way like, "can he see me?"
lmao hilarious.

but it wasn't all that amusing. i'm gonna watch it again. maybe it was just a boring episode.
