Okay.

This is for the wanderers-over.

Taking stock.

The Present:

I'm 31. I live on Maui. Things have gotten out of whack recently and I'm trying to find more balance. I'm doing this by:

Alternating what I do with my (limited) free time each day.

DAY ONE: Work out and read.
DAY TWO: Do yoga and practice meditation/study a spiritual practice/philosophy.
DAY THREE: Run outside and work on writing projects.
DAY FOUR: Watch something from Netflix and get caught up on emails/write someone out of the blue.
And on every SEVENTH day: Do something new on Maui (find a waterfall, try a new restaurant, explore a new beach...) I want to write about these experiences and take pictures. When possible, I'll invite partners-in-crime.

Besides this:

I love my dude, D., and he makes regular appearances in this spot.
I'd like to make more of an effort for family and friends (make new ones and value old ones).
I want to give my home and wardrobe more style.
I try to keep my home clean, organized, and minimalistic. I think my biggest deal-breaker, boyfriend-wise, would be hoarding. It makes me shudder.
I try to keep on top of my to-do list, but it never gets any shorter.
I take pleasure in cooking, but don't do enough of it.
I try to eat healthy, but could be better about it.

And of course I spend most of my time:

Working. Studying. Soon I will be a certified high school English teacher.

The Past:

Bounced around a fair bit living in France, New York, New Zealand, Japan, Mexico, Vietnam, Colombia. To pay the bills (and to get to know the locals) I taught English. Preschoolers, university students, adult professionals. Loved it and dream about more overseas adventuring. Also dream about family.

The Future:

Can't be predicted with any certainty. Love and contentment hopefully.

Fixations, aka. what I ramble on about

Health: Nutrition and Exercise
Love: Storge, Eros, Agape, Philia
Movies and Books and a little Music
Teaching
Maui and adventuring
Philosophy
Girly insecurities
