Countdown to Infinitus: Day 28 (June 18th)
Day 28 (June 18th)- Do you listen to Wizard Wrock, what do you think about it?
I haven't gotten into Wrock, no. And a part of me is sort of regretting that I haven't. At the same time, I'm rather wary of it. I'm sure there's a lot of talent involved with Wrock, just as there's a lot of talent in fanfiction. But I keep imaging that, like in fanfiction, there's a lot of crap out there calling itself "Wrock." Also, it feels so much like I have no time left in my day for another obsession. And I've already mentioned "crappy youtube videos"... I'm not sure where to jump in, and I'm not sure what's good and what's not good. It seems like a difficult thing to get into.
Perhaps I can convince someone at the conference to burn me a cd of mixed Wrock music, so I can figure out what's good and what I like. :) Or maybe I can go to a formal programming session about Wrock--so long as it doesn't interfere with something else that I'm interested in. The problem is that I'm already interested in so much! Here's me rambling now.
Ever since I jumped into the fandom, ten years ago or so, I've had a song bouncing around in my head. It was written while I was playing in a HP RP. And it's been jumping back into my head lately. Perhaps I should start plunking things out on the piano, and try to figure out if I can write my own music. I wouldn't call it "Wrock", though, as it would be far from rock.
Unfortunately, this is one topic on which I don't have a strong opinion. So this entry is going to be a bit shorter than the others.
