Countdown to Infinitus: Day 27 (June 19th)
Day 27 (June 19th)- Would you rather own the Invisibility Cloak, The Resurrection Stone or The Elder Wand?
I think the reasons given in the last HP novel are really good ones. I think there are reasons to want all of them, but the reasons not to want the Stone or the Wand are the heaviest. I don't have anyone in my life that I would want to bring back, so the Stone would be a waste for me. I'm not really interested in being known as the "unbeatable" witch, so the Wand wouldn't do me much good. Besides, I'd be so afraid to use it, that either I wouldn't use it at all, or I'd be terrified all day every day that someone was trying to kill me and steal it away. Not exactly how I'd like to live my life.
That leaves the Cloak. I think the Cloak is the most useful of all the Hallows. Not only in the story, but also in its practical application day-to-day. It's useful for evading conflict, for avoiding being chased or stopped, and for sneaking around. Though, there's a part of me that wonders if it could be used for good instead of for mischief. All of the "for instance"s that I've been coming up with are seedy. Thievery, sneaking, pranks... that sort of thing.
Not that I would use it for those things. Really. *cough*
There's another part of me that wonders what something like the Cloak is worth... monetarily. Would I want to sell it? Then again, whoever buys it from me could simply sneak into my house under it and steal it back. I suppose then I'd have to keep it for myself, and try to figure out good ways to use it.
