Day 26 (June 20th)- If you would be able to work one spell without a wand what would it be?
As far ast magic goes, I suppose some of the things I'd enjoy doing most don't actually involve wands. Some of my favorite bits of magic are completely wandless, from what I've surmised from the books... for instance, does Apparition count? Boy, would I love to be able to Apparate. Or fly on a broomstick, I mean, who wouldn't want to fly on a broomstick? To go from place to place without worrying about cars or public transit... and to be able to play quidditch! That's one of my greatest dreams!--that doesn't require a wand, does it? It's a little funny that both of the magics that I'd want to work are travel magics... though I suppose flying on a broomstick is also quidditch related, and not strictly transportation. And in the United States it'd be Quodpot related, right? I suppose they're not spells per se. I'd also love to be able to work potions, but that's not a spell, either.
Okay, so as far as actual spells are concerned... hmm. I suppose transfiguring would be really useful. Or some sort of charm. A cheering charm, maybe? Or levitation... or summoning... and knowing how to grow Herbs or care for Creatures would be a rather useful thing, too. Gosh, now that I think about it, it's a really difficult question.
I have to choose one spell to do without a wand. Dang. That's difficult. I'm not much of a dueller, so that's out. I don't much buy into Divination, either. So it'd boil down to a charm or some bit of transfiguration. Probably a levitation charm.
