Dear Yuletide Writer
Thank you so much for writing something for me, I'm super excited about the prospect by fic for any of the fandoms I've requested!
I love fic which explores feelings/characters headspace/thoughts primarily. Plot is great too but my main interest is usually in character anaylsis. I also really enjoy fic that has a humour in it and it's one of the things I love in The Good Wife and The Newsroom if either of those is your assignment (I'm terrible at writing it which is why I love to read it but also I totally understand if humour is not your forte so please don't feel stressed or try to force it in if you don't feel comfortable.)
In a couple of my requests I've mentioned I love five times fics and I really really do. They can be great because they're so versatile; five times the character/s did dumb things that made their partners adore them, five times characters kissed/fought/nearly broke up/cried/ etc etc. The possibilities are endless I will pretty much love anything.
I also really love future fic Eg; five years down the line from current canon the characters are in a totally different place/life etc. How, why, are they happy etc.
I don't like abuse/con consensual sex/hurt-comfort (unless you're taking a broad view of character a is hurting about something and character b tries to help them through it. But no rape/physical abuse/danger just for the sake of getting characters together.)
Modtly though I really think the best written fic happens when the writer is comfortable/excited about what they're writing, so I hope these suggestions/prompts are helpful and if you can use them then that's awesome but if not please write you feel really inspired, passionate about writing. I'm sure I'll love it!
The Good Wife; Alicia Florrick, Kalinda Sharma
Anything Kalinda and Alicia oriented. It can be about their friendship and how they rebuild it and make peace with the past, or it could be about them romantically. I just love their relationship and am happy to see it explored in any way you choose!
Sofies verden | Sophie's World - Jostein Gaarder | Sophie Amundsen, Hilde Møller Knag, Albert Knag
ANYTHING. This is a favourite book so I'll be thrilled with anything. Definitely interested in what happens to Sophie at the end of the book, or Hilde's knowledge of Sophie's existence. Or what would have happened if Albert had written Sophie into Hilde's life. Totally just suggestions and literally anything that takes your fancy is fine!
The Newsroom; MacKenzie McHale, Will McAvoy, Sloan Sabbith
THIS SHIP OKAY. I mean, anything you want to write will almost certainly fill me with joy because dear god this ship. But if you're looking for suggestions, I would love to know about the breakdown of Mac and Will's relationship, the immediate aftermath of him finding out she cheated. Or about Mac while she was cheating, her headspace and justification, what she was feeling. Or five times fic! I love a good five times fic. ANYTHING REALLY. Also bonus points for Sloan/Mac awkward friendiness.
The Fosters; Stef Foster, Lena Adams
Anything but angst. This ship is my happy couple. Feel free to write about hardship or difficulties or conflicts - realism in a relationship is great! But please no angst for angst sake or character death. I'm totally a fan of Five Times fic so if something takes your fancy in that vein, go for it! I'm pretty easy to please so whatever you feel inspired/compelled to write is totally fine by me!
