So you LJ while at work: Five signs of an unbalanced life.

Why yes, I certainly do. I've been meaning to post for ages but life just went through a huge change and well, I'm still unsure how to process it so of course I'm going to meme instead. I feel too down at the moment to do Anna's positivity meme and the self awareness meme from Kim would probably get all kinds of introspective which will make me ( Read more... )

Love the little disclaimer *laughs* Sadly, I'm not familiar with any of the characters you listed. But if you want to talk about whatever's been dragging you down, I'm here *hugs*

The title disclaimer is sadly true, it was during my lunch hour too but I couldn't muster up the energy to get something to eat or even ask someone to pick me up a sandwich so I sat down and did this instead. on hindsight, I should have included links but better late than never right ( ... )

My first fictional character crush was Raphael- the red ninja turtle. I thought he was the coolest in the cartoon, full of sassmouth and kind of a punk. Then I saw the original movie and I was in love from the moment he said 'DAMN'.

Then came Gambit in the 1990's XMen cartoon. Mon cher, you just keep talkin' creole and settin' dem cards on fire. And since he couldn't have sex with Rogue (my first angst ridden OTP), he might as well do it with me, right? XD

Darth Vader. Tall dark badass. maybe at 14 I had a bdsm kink and didn't know it XD

Also Han Solo. A lot like Raphael- but human!

Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in Tombstone. My Dad's favorite movie was Tombstone for a while, and we were always watching it on the VCR. And Soc had that southern Georgia drawl that just melted my panties.

we need to viber some time. I miss you and really hope you're doing okay. maybe we could plot out this last installment of the lingfan epic

Lol your Darth Vader and my Tarabas, its no wonder we turned out the way we did. XD

I'm in the middle of moving out right now and work is killing me despite a badly sprained ankle which hasn't healed yet thanks to work. But when things calm down a little, I'd love nothing more than a long, long chat with you and Joey. And I would also love to finish plotting CC 3 with you. I need to reread one and two to catch up but about time we laid this baby to rest.

:-/ I hope this "huge change" is of the "OMG, I CAN'T PROCESS THIS, IT'S *TOO* AWESOME" sort, not "GAH, KILL IT WITH FIIIIRE!"

I was thinking of my first 5 fictional characters I had a crush on, and honestly the only legit crush I can really think of when I was younger was Pierce Bronsan Brosnan as Remington Steele. (ETA: Clearly I am not a true fan, since I couldn't even spell his name right! ;-P) Middle school me thought he was a dreamboat. I did have a poster of Johnny Depp circa 21 Jump Street on my bedroom wall, but it came free in a magazine...I actually didn't really watch that show too much and am not really a die-hard Depp fan.

I think in this instance, I am just TOOO OLD to remember! D-: XD

I had to look Brosnan up. <<<<>>>

Funnily enough, I remember going through a Depp fangirl period, circa Pirates of the Caribbean and Sweeney Todd (I was a teen, forgive me!) but never very hardcore. The only posters on my walls were Harry Potter or Alan Rickman related. I actually had a cardboard cutout of Severus Snape, life sized. I used to place him just beside my door before going to bed so that whoever opened it in the middle of the night would be greeted by Professor Snape's signature glare. XD Gave my brother nightmares.

I think we're both WAY TOO OLD to remember, I only listed those because they were among the many things I read and watched but I'm sure there's a fictional crush somewhere that's earlier in chronological order.

Ooh, I guess I could've been nice and left you a link. These days I think Brosnan was a bit too skinny back then (and his hair style was a bit tragic), but middle school me did not have that issue and was completely jealous of Stephanie Zimbalist ( ... )
