It is literally a white day in Seoul. Snow showers all over the place. A symbol of blessing to those who are encountered.
Some people are choosing to stay at home and drinking hot chocolate in front of the fire, yet there are also those choose to stroll in windy and cold streets while enjoying the sound and the smell of faint hope that snow always represent off.
She doesn’t care that people looks at her like she is a crazy person. Because only those with twisted mind would walk in the street without umbrella and jacket.
In her wedding dress.
“Hi choding, I’m here!”
“Oppa.....”
“Hi, what’s with the sad voice? I know I have been late. But I am coming back. For good.”
“For good?”
“Yeah... Can I see you? The usual place? I bring the macaroons just as you asked.”
“Oppa..... haven’t you got the invitation?”
“What invitation?”
“I’m getting married, Oppa. “
“Wh...what?”
“Today.”
“Ma.... married?”
“It has been two years, Oppa. And my dad finally convinced my grandma that I should marry this guy.”
“Congratulation, Yoongie.”
He had disconnected the call right after that. Not even letting her to tell him that she still loves him and always honors their promises.
But he has gone too long with no news. And even her grandmother, the one who always believed in them is finally given up.
Not that she fought hard before when his dad said it was time for her to marry the guy he choose. Because the guy she choose was not there as he promised. Six months ago.
Not that she can blame him too for being late. It was not easy for him too, to fulfill his dream as an artist and proves to his family, to her family, that he can provide sufficient support for her. And why six months late even matter?
She was still hold the mobile in her hand when her Grandma lifted her face and wiped the tears that she did not even know were there.
“Yoong-ah, what’s up?”
She could not speak and only showed the ID of the last caller.
“Oh!”
“He’s here, Grandma. He comes back.”
Sadly her Grandma looked at her granddaughter who sobbed softly. She shook her head and then pulled the girl up.
“Go to him. I deal with your father.“
“Grandma?”
“Go, Baby, find your happiness. You both deserve that.”
She nodded and ran out the back door. And forgot her jacket. But she didn’t care. She had to find him.
That’s why she is there. In front of the bench near the river when they met the first time. Where this beautiful man played his violin and attracted her.
She walks baby steps to the bench, silently praying he will be there.
The sad looking young man sitting in the bench while looking at the river with tears wells in his eyes. He is late. She is getting married. Why haven’t he checked his emails before he stepped into the plane?
He wipes his tears when suddenly his heart beating so fast. It only be like that if she is around. But how come?
He turns his body around and sees her. Still beautiful as ever. And why she is in her wedding dress without her jacket? She can get sick!
He is starting to yell at her for her carelessness when she runs to him and automatically he opens his arms and let her crashes at his chest.
“Take me away, Oppa.”
He closes his eyes. Questions are in his head but they can wait. The most important one is she here with him now. “Whatever you want, Princess.”
