This is a true bachelor life here in Chicago right now. A small couch, no girlfriend, boxed dinners, and a popped air mattress. I've actually grown so accustomed to doing things on my own that I can't even imagine me married or with a girlfriend. I can't think of anything that would do for me other than slow me down. I'm working my first stable job now and it's actually in film. It's the movie Predators (aka Predator 3). I'm a greensman which means building sets associated with nature, in this case, an alien jungle with carnivorous plants and fun caves and mountains to crawl and climb around. It keeps me busy 6 am - 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday. It feels good ( Read more... )

I ask anyone reading this to please put in some good thoughts for me. I've entered this big competition a month ago as an "easy way" effort to get my first feature off the ground. I've run into a lot of crazy behavior from people lately. I don't know if it's the heat or what. Probably just Austin. But these past couple days make me feel like I'm in a Hitchcock film. Guess I need a vacation.

My feature is looking optimistic again. Mansfield Dam looks like it will be okay to film after all after a chat with the park operator. Homeland Security will not stop me!
