This woman I took to the screening of The Darjeeling Limited last year always acted funny around me the days after. She would avert her eyes and pretend not to see me, and act awkward if I were near by. I never got why she was like this since we got along so well that day until recently I found out she is a John McCain supporter.

I love how I and my main circle of friends have agreed not to trust each other. Ever. We've saved each other but have known enough people who have hurt us in some way that we're prepared to be let down if that should happen. Last night I got a free pass to see the first Chicago screening of the 6 minute prequel to "The Dark Knight" on IMAX at Navy Pier. I won't say what happened, but Heath Ledger is insane as the Joker. Some thoughts of the day... I've felt like I've been set free. I've been writing and writing. Things that seem unrealistic to others seem like the most practical thing to me. I still get angry at things that I shouldn't let bother me, but I've been a bit better at that.

The antiwar movement holds true to the definition of one of the roads to insanity - trying the same thing over and over again expecting the same results. The news reports of rallies not only get shorter and shorter because of a little bias on some channels, but the rallies are simply boring to hear about. I would like to see a hauntingly powerful antiwar organization that takes more non-violent risks such as mass nonviolent civil disobedience. I believe that if people who protest against the war see a group of ordinary American honorably stepping outside the lines, they may feel tempted to follow suit.
