HI~
My dear f-list, I need your help!
My sister's 18th birthday is coming up soon and I want to get her photoshop. I have no clue on what's the best stuff that's out there so... Any recommendations? The best tablets that I know of are made by wacom. I have a graphire 4 which is outdated technology, but still very good. If she's aiming to be a pro I would say the intuos would be a good choice - it has higher pen-pressure sensitivity and the area is much larger. But they're super-expensive is the only thing :|

Thanks for pointing me towards Wacom. I'm going to go surf around and try to get a not-too-expensive one :| The thing is, she's got one of those tiny laptops that don't have a CD drive. Will that be in the way?

Nope! The tablet hooks up through the USB drive, and if she needs to install the drivers she can get them at the wacom website. If she doesn't have a CD drive then it's DEFINITELY best that you don't buy her photoshop, as you need a CD-Rom to install it :x

Oh that'd be fabulous then :D I don't want her to get mad at me because she can't install it :x

I have a cheap one, but it gets the job done. Like the poster above, I say Wacom makes good tablets. Especially for a person that wants to go into Architecture.

I don't know about tablets though, I just know they're expensive @_@; My friend has one built into her computer...like the tablet laptops and that's costly.
