So, per sugardose's request, I am updating! Not much to say, though. The 4th was alright, sat around with Mom, Dad & John. Grilled, watched Clay Aiken sing to fireworks, etc. etc. It was nice, I don't mind not seeing fireworks up close at all. After you've living on an island/beach & seen fireworks done out in the ocean

wow, that was a long entry that i liked reading.

i also have a HUGE fear of dentists. and doctors. mostly because they use all this crap on you that hurts like hell. they just scare me to no end.

and i know what you mean by those fireworks: i go to the beach every year for the 4th of july and it's amazing compared to watching them from your backyard(although i have a whole entire view of the city from my backyard because we're on a hill...but still...the ocean's way better!)

I love going to the dentist. Seriously.

Um, let's see. It was me you spoke to about Macaroni Grill. I think that will be the meeting place for September. The August meeting falls on Angi's b-day, so I have left it up to her and it will most likely be an event weekend, with a Dallas bar trip and Fort Worth Comedy club trip. Everyone will be invited of course. I am so jealous. I wish I received packages in the mail instead of always being the one to send them. That's all. Check out all the hobbit love in my journal.

It's just a simple phobia usually. But me, it's clinical phobia. Trying my best to get past it, though. & considering the fact that they use to have to put me under with an iv just to get a filling done... I think I have improved. 8)

My dentist and hygenist are super nice and gentle. I got my first cavity about two years ago and I never felt any pain. They dope us up alot. Same thing with my wisdom teeth. Hell, my hygenist even came to my wedding. However, I used to have a really rough hygentist who was a total bitch and I hated going simply because she bitched at me so much about flossing. Maybe you all just need the right dentist. *thinks this is the most boring post she has ever made*

OH, my dentist is supposed to only see kids & teenagers up to 18. But since I was a 'special case' he refuses to stop seeing me. He knows how hard it would be for me to find a dentist who would understand what I go through & whatnot. I've been going to this dentist for 10 years or more, can't remember. Either way, they do EVERYTHING they can to make each visit the best it can be for me. There is one hygenist who does my cleanings, & I will only do them with her because she is gentle & knows me & is willing to do whatever it takes to make me more comfy. When she flosses my teeth, she goes slow. When she polishes them, she doesn't turn the brush on SUPER high. When she scrapes up under the gum line, so that I don't feel that, she uses this gel on my gum to numb it for a few minutes. They go out of their way to make me comfortable there. They have ever offered to let me come & observe them doing things such as fillings, caps, sealants, cleanings.. because part of overcoming a fear is learning about it. They had taught me the dentist-
