I'm sorry about your dad.

My grandma did the same thing. She kept trying to get out of the bed, taking her off her oxygen mask or taking out her IV.

I am so sorry to hear about what your family is going through..

Poor man..your poor mom and that director of that retirement place needs to be shot on sight. Holy hell man you don't not check into it if the best friend thinks something is up. I would be so angry!!

Mm, I don't know if it's my place to comment, but..

It's really hard to predict what will happen after a stroke, because there are so many different things that could happen. My step-grandfather recently had a stroke while he was in the hospital, after he'd just had heart surgery to replace a valve. He lost his swallowing reflux (which he has back some, now), and he's having a lot of trouble with his right side.

It was a set-back and it really brought down his morale for a while.

I hope your grandfather starts feeling better, and may he recover well. And it IS messed up that the manager didn't check on him; I would have.

Of course you can comment! Silly, 8)

Either way, though, we know that he is ready to go & it must be really frustrating to not be able to. =/
