[And Aara is cautiously walking toward and around the edge of the frozen lake, careful not to step on the ice, but clearly attempting to get nearer to the young man who had seemed so happy and energetic on the journal.]

[Bobby's out on the lake, amusing himself by lazily skating figure eights, occasionally broken up with a few simple jumps and spins. It's not until he skates a bit closer to the edge that he spots someone walking along the shoreline, but once he does, he turns to skate closer to her, smiling cheerfully.]

Hey! Are you looking to skate, or are you just out enjoying the snow?

Skate?

[Okay. So she's a little nervous. She'd never done--whatever it was he was doing right now. It looked as though he was flying along the ice.]

Is that what you're doing now?

[Hesitantly, biting her lip before deciding to be daring and blurting her question out she asks:] What's capture the flag?

[He smiles warmly at her.]

It is! Have you never been before?

[And another smile at her question.]

It's a game. It's played with a big group of people. You split them into two teams, and each team gets a flag. The object of the game is to get the other team's flag before they get yours.

It's fun in the snow, because you can build a snow fort to hide your flag, and station people there to protect it. And use snowballs! So it's like combining capture the flag with a snowball fight.

[Grins.]

I should have known this is the first place you would go.

[She hollers out over the lake to him, looking down warily at the ice, taking a deep breath before stepping onto the frozen lake and trying out a few shuffle steps in her shoes. Hey--not so bad.]

[He turns when he hears Chloe calling out, and smiles brightly, skating over to her.]

Apparently I'm a little predictable! Though I did build a few snowmen first.

Enjoying the snow?

[Chloe laughs--indeed she was enjoying the snow, for all she was freezing and parts of her were numb.]

Snowmen first? With button noses? Be careful--you never know with this place, you might actually bring one to life.

[She grins, plainly joking around.]

I am. Almost feels like home.

[He laughs, delighted.]

Nah. The place doesn't need to, I could do that myself!

...If by life you mean make it move around. But it counts.

[Not even the thought that the Keep actually would do that can bring him down. Living snowmen? Bring it on! Today is a day of snow and awesomeness.]
