I got the new Tool. And I can play the intro riff to Sweet Child o Mine fairly legato now. That's all. When are you coming into town again?

What do you think about that album? I am a little upset that it held on to some disappointing elements from Lateralus rather than reviving the lyrical awesomeness that contributes to Aenima being one of the best albums in history.

Town = Osaka? Perhaps this weekend, if I can clear it. Otherwise I don't know...I do have a package to pick up at the Addison's place. You been hanging out much? Damn do I wish i was about two hours closer in...

SCoM (and Slash's playing in general) is one of a significant list of reasons why I ever bothered to pick up a guitar. Also on the list: Izzy.

I kind of feel the same way about the Tool album. They're starting to sound pretentious, I think they've been hanging around King Crimson too much. It's OK for Crimson to be pretentious because that's their thing, but Tool needs to concentrate on the kind of non-meandering and tightly constructed songs that they used to write.

When you say GNR is it the original lineup?

I've hung out with the real Mr. A. a bit. He's got tuesday off next week so we're going to Den Den Town.

I dunno about pretention so much, being that I am as guilty as anyone of getting a little full of my own work, but I do miss some of the lyrical turns that made AEnima so great. I think they just need to spend a little more time listening to doom-saying suicidal comedians and less time trying to push semi-political lachrymological poetry around...

When i say GnR, I mean Axl (integral) and the musicians who recorded the CD demos (that Robin Finck, Tommy Stilson, Dizzy Reed, and a few others). Only Dizzy ever played with the "classic" guns line up. I suppose you could be upset that Slash, Duff, and Izzy are absent, but really i don't mind so much. I have had access to their material since the break up, and while I love Izzy, for all the talent that Slash poassess, he just hasn't made any music I wanna hear since Use Your illusion. Velvet Revolver? Come on.

Shit! You guys gotta come up here this summer. Beach Trip! I'm only an hour or so from sea and sand!

I am going for PS III. The Wii looks ok, maybe even fun..but it would have to be upsampled on any hdtv..which will make it look like crap!!!! Plus, I have a feeling blu-ray mya win the hd medium war if enough ps III's are sold...we shall see. Plus, 1080p video games.....can you say HOTNESS!!!!! Gald to see you are like the Gap bands last live album, "Alive and Well." When are you coming to town?

I mean, I understand where you are coming from. For you it's about graphics and multifuctionality, and maximizing your investment. I understand that ( ... )
