I'm still digesting the film. The comic took me long enough; the movie I'm still uncertain. Not in the sense of its faithfulness to the source material, because that much is clear-- mainly in how I feel about it. Dinner was great last night. I made mustard pork, a traditional French dish, with some minor alterations that worked out positively-- instead of using a boneless cut, as usually used, I made them with dark sirloin chops, and I altered the mustard/spice content.

I Haunt Wizards are steadily growing on me, but I admit that most of their songs are pretty hit or miss. Musically they're a bit trancy/sugary for me but the vocals are really good, particularly because of the bare-bones production. I found this early Lunachicks interview and it's hilarious. Like tough middle school girls that would beat you up and take your lunch money. They were an early favorite of mine, introduced via my sister's high school friends, who were the coolest junior wannabe riot grrls on the planet.
