Growing up in Georgia, it was quite a change for me when I moved to Boston... and then Toronto.

I remember the first time my beard got iced up. I was living in Toronto and couldn't wait to see what it looked like. I'd seen such things on National Geographic, but never in person.

Sadly, by the time I got up to my apartment on the 18th floor, it was always gone.

I don't deal well with cold weather. For me, San Francisco is too cold in the winter.
