Dunno why, but Dean Kamen is at AMI today. Danny has some pretty cool friends, admittedly. Must be because he throws such great parties.

That's smooth. Do you get those Long-now clock prototypes around? Is AMI a big group? I just know it as one of those neat places.

There are some parts for the clock, but I'm not sure how many are designed and complete. There is no single mockup, since I think they've been focusing on long term energy storage and how to assemble a giant clock without the usual host of industrial adhesives, which they don't think will last 10,000 years.

Its weird, Dean is famous for the segway, but he's really done some better stuff than that over the years, like his biomedical inventions.
