There's a blood drive going on over here today and tomorrow. As a responsible and wacky citizen, I'm doing my part to advertise the fact by walking around campus dressed up like a vampire, with a tag saying "Ve Vant Your Blood--Ask Me Why." Oberlin is officially out for Fall Break, and I'm out of Ohio and in Kentucky. Go ahead and get your 'no big improvement' jokes out of the way. I'll say this for certain: my bed at Oma and Opa's house is infinitely more comfortable than my bed at the dorm.

They brought in a freakin' hypnotist to entertain us last night. It was seriously hilarious! It was kinda astounding people could get so relaxed listening to him, since he talked almost at the speed of an auctioneer. He had them flopping into each other's chairs, made them fall asleep whenever he shook their hands...
