I've never read a Stephen King book before. In my mind he only wrote horror stories about Jack Nicholson bursting through doors with axes, and I never really understood the appeal of that, so I avoided his work. 11.22.63 is way more believeable. (To be fair though, half-hour sitcoms probably aren't meant to be that believable.)

I don't care much for his horror stuff either, thought it is mostly scary.
My favorite by him is his fairy tale - In The Eyes of the Dragon.
