Work is going ok.  Currently, I'm in Stillwater, MN and we are trying to get our cyclones online to get a turbine spinning.  We are way behind schedule as the turbine was supposed to spin Monday, but oh well, I still get paid.  Stillwater is actually pretty cool, and since I am stuck here for the weekend, I think I am going to see some sights ( Read more... )

Work is going well.  At this point, I'm pretty much getting paid to get in my boss' way and ask questions in addition to driving around.  I get paid this week so I went out and bought myself Venture Bros. Season II, and a belt for my awesome B&W belt buckle.

Danville is growing on me.  Also, Tractor Supply Company may be my new favorite store.

Today I am writing from my hotel room in Danville, IL.  My immediate surroundings include 3 other hotels, a gas station, numerous industrial buildings, and nothing else at all.  I am going to use the excercise room and pool, but I must wait a bit as I consumed about 3 pounds of gyro and fries from Niro's Gyros.  It was an excellent place for gyros ( Read more... )

Today I had my first day of training with Babcock and Wilcox.  The first couple hours were spent waiting in the lobby, and filling out paperwork as a group.  After the paperwork, I was issued a company laptop, and was instructed to start my online safety training.  I guess all the training was supposed to be completed this week, but I had recieved ( Read more... )

I GOT A WII!!!! YAY!!!!!

Now the torture begins. A week of finals, and I can't open it until Christmas.

In other news, I can't wait until it destroys my house.

I got a Wii!!!!!!.......controller and nunchuk.  Supposedly monday's shipment to Shopko will contain some wiis.  I think I have a good chance of picking one up then.  I figured I should get a controller since they seem really hard to find.  Its too bad that shopko charges an insane amount for the controllers (I spent $80 on a remote + nunchuk).  I' ( Read more... )
