Hi Clarence, thank you for posting this video. I had not seen it before and I am glad I did. You figure California would be lighting the way to resolve this ridiculousness. Funny how I can get married in puritan Massachusetts. Go figure.
I'm glad you got a chance to see the California Courage Campaign's (CCC) ad. I think it's inspired! First of all, I am so happy that they continued to use Regina Spektor's song, Fidelity. Though Ms. Spektor didn't write the song specifically for the CCC's anti-Prop 8 project, she graciously granted permission to use it for that purpose. I don't know if you've seen the full anti-Prop 8 video that the CCC made a while back while the legal proceedings against Prop 8 were just starting, but--in my opinion--it is a beautiful video, and you get to hear all of Fidelity in it.
I used to live in California many years ago (when I was a teenager), and I did love the Golden State...I didn't want to leave, but whither your parents go, a teenager usually must follow! :-)
I really do feel as if I left part of my heart, not in San Francisco (though I'm sure I would have loved it), but just outside Los Angeles in a town called Baldwin Park. I still do love that state, and it does--to quote Ms. Spektor--break my heart that a majority of
