Aptera... Kirk's college hoopty?
The Aptera is a very cool concept car that won an Automotive X-Prize at the 2008 New York Auto Show and one which has heart my heart swooning ever since I first saw it a few months back in Intersection magazine.
Not surprisingly, recent reports are saying that the Aptera has been spotted on the set of J.J. Abram's new Star Trek movie. The thing looks like a shuttle craft, so it's a good fit. Since the movie takes place during Kirk's stint at Starfleet Academy, let's just hope he doesn't get drunk on Romulan Ale with his buddies and wrap this baby around a tree driving at full impulse power.
