Exactly what I was hoping for.

Yeah, well, good luck with all that world. I never felt the need to hide the fact I was an American, ever, no matter where I travelled, even in Bali, Singapore, and Malaysia (well there was this time when I guy wanted to sell me a watch, so I claime be an Aussie so he would think I was cheapskate). Areas with large Muslim populations. Maybe I should have, maybe I was lucky (more lucky than I have ever been on the mean streets of the good old USA I can tell you). I won't say I didn't contemplate the potential dangers of being OUT THERE. But the real problem is that we don't go OUT THERE. If more of us did, we would probably not be in this mess and we would be on track with better public transportation, cleaner air and better food. That aint got shit to do with what color our president is. Anyway, good luck with it all world, hope we can stop giving you foreign countries so much money and make America more self sufficient.

I agree! And, while I accept Klink's idea that a more substantial change would be sending the population of the American South on a year abroad (imagine that!), at least this should encourage other countries to give us a chance to repair our busted image; that maybe since this president looks different, maybe we can change from the disastrous path we have been on ( ... )

Me too! The wife and I were overjoyed and in tears when it was called. This is definitely a symbolic change above all else for us.
