...et manger les bébés.

Okay... I don't normally post things like this, but it was simply too cute not to post. Please have your insulin shots handy during the video.

This makes me want to put a mark in the YES column in the Kid-or-No-Kid chart.

that IS cute. why is it that she sounds so intelligent and socially conscious just because she is speaking Franch?

also, I would put a mark under NO as well for the kid or no kid thing, because as cute as this is, it becomes really annoying when your kid talks this much ALL day long. about whatever they are thinking about. until the second you tuck them in.

I love my kids. I do. But they are annoying!

It's a small world, after all. misterdna November 20 2008, 10:00:17 UTC
Yeah, I told my darling wife about this video and she told me,

"You only think it's cute because you don't have 20 little 3 and 4 year-olds trying to talk to you all day everyday."

She's got a good point of course, although most of her students are trying to talk to her in French or Korean or Japanese or Farsi or Russian. Basically it's like she teaches in a Benetton Kids catalog.

Very few of her kids speak English or Chinese, so she says it's easy to tune them out when they prattle on. Still, despite the fact that most of these kids can't actually communicate with each other, she says that in the mornings they are so full of energy that they will just talk and talk and talk.

I think I would find this hilarious for about... mmm... a week.

she is right. they really don't care if you are listening. they just sort of talk AT you. Max is outgrowing the chatty stage finally, but Maddie is just now entering it and when I volunteer in her classroom I leave and want to just go lock myself in my closet for an hour of quiet time.

is shan-shan still teaching in a montessori school?

Yes, she went back to teaching this year after we moved. As soon as I had gotten the job offer down here she contacted a school that she knew of in the area and pretty much got the job right away, so the move really worked out well for the both of us.

Wow, she is cute! And . . . it is probably better not to think too hard about her tres disturbing story. The little freakshow.
