I want to observe this about the following tragic incident:
Pittsburgh gunman 'lying in wait' killed 3 police officers.People will read the killer's comments e.g., 'being concerned that "the Obama administration was poised to ban guns", "the Obama gun ban that's on the way" and "didn't like our rights being infringed upon" and fail to connect the ( Read more... )

No amount of gun laws could have prevented what happened in Pittsburgh. If a person is determined to kill people, nothing will keep them from getting guns.

In the final analysis, the people impacted the most by more gun laws are law following folks who would never do anything like the Pittsburgh tragedy.

True, but they can't easily get them legally. And it's probably about time we need serious penalties for selling guns illegally. I'm not for more gummint involvement, but if the industry and sport doesn't police itself, the gummint will.

Every time something like this happens I expect every anti-gun Nazi in the country to spring into action. At the risk of sounding like a cliche-spouting, prophet of unconventional wisdom, didn't the Nazis disarm the German people right after taking power?

Oh the action-springing never ended. Good point about Nazi Germany. Authorities pulled a similar stunt in New Orleans after Katrina. They've lived to regret their illegal actions.
