Everybody knows your name

I'm an orphan. As such, mostly I long to be where everyone is someone close: a sense of family and good friends; people who want me around. But lately I've been wondering if maybe I should opt for the opposite. Maybe I should pick a place I'd like to be where nobody knows me, where nobody knows my name. Do you really have to leave, in order to reinvent - especially in the computer age? Remember the old New Yorker cartoon: "on the Internet no one knows you're a dog." And in fact, is reinvention even noticed these days if you DON'T do it online?

I probably just need to watch less TeeVee, to 'unplug' as you recently referenced. And do more sitting. Just sit outside and be.
