My reading for the last year - or more - has been all over the map. I've read most of Cormac McCarthy's books but my favorite was "Suttree", made even more enjoyable since I lived for many years in Knoxville and much of the story takes place in or near that city. Great to hear from you, Jim. Isn't "Razor's Edge" the story in which a character called Larry expresses great interest in "Principles of Psychology"? I forget what came of that...

Yes, that's right I'd forgotten. Maugham first encounters Larry reading that tome and is impressed with how focused he seemed that he never looked up.
