What's Vimes' take on it? On camp effects of that type (i.e. character-altering rather that just appearance-altering) in general?

Vimes' take on the vampire biting. My first reaction is Vimes is plenty ticked about it, but let me think about it for a moment.

Vimes has two cows.( Let's say Dobby gave them to him in a fit of gratitude, for the sake of argument. ) What does he do with them?

Wonders why he has two cows?

I know in Men at Arms Vimes apparently had a cow as a kid [which I am going to assume was later in his youth] so he might just tie 'em up around back by the dragon shed and let them graze. And milk them, and feed the milk to the dragons, because he figures that camp can't do anything that evolution hasn't already done to the poor buggers.

[And then one day one of them gets loose and we have a post where Vimes goes around asking "where is my cow?" Which now needs to happen. XD]

Not really an essay, more of a what if? I am obviously bad at this.

Vimes walks in on Robin and Violet in a....compromising situation. Reaction? Does he give them the talk?

He'd be extremely embarrassed, stand there awkwardly until everyone straightened themselves out, and then they'd go out into the common area where the conversation will proceed along the lines of:

"What's a sonkie?"
"Er...." [handmotions]
"Oh..."
"[brightred]"
"... I need a drink."

It would be the worst thing ever and Vimes will be traumatized and really uncomfortable and probably go bunk down in the watchhouse again for a few days 'cause the of the sheer amount of embarrassment floating in the air.

5. His boss Being able to piss off Vetinari on a regular basis

6. Actually being able to chase someone down and arrest them. He's going through withdrawal, I think.

One of these days Vimes is going to have a "Where's my cow" post. It will be cute, and silly, and very very sad.
