If I learned any lesson at all from working at the Booksmith, it was a valuable one, and for that I guess I'm glad I had the experience. I've learned that first impressions mean almost nothing. you're right: alabama doesn't deserve to be #3 without an offense. but i'm still disappointed that they didn't win. it was a sad day, especially because there's so much hype surrounding the team and then they played horribly. i do love a good football game; too bad football programs take away so much money from other areas, though. my english department @ uc fought for two years to get one new copier for the entire faculty and staff while a new state of the art stadium and athletic center has been under construction for at least a year and a half.

nonetheless, perhaps one day alabama can be an all-around team to be proud of.
