The first was shot in North Beach, San Francisco on October 28, while waiting for Laurenn to pick me up. The second was shot in the Castro district on Hallowe'en, where Laurenn and I took a walk through the parade.

It's not funny and it's not dirty, however it is true.

In my local UK town of Middlesbrough a man appeared one day and opened a second hand bookshop. Being a carnivorous reader I was a regular customer and we became friends, as it turned out he was highly subversive and felt highly certain of his own impending disappearance due to his opinions over the government and other issues. So, as you can guess he disappeared, he wasn't the type to up and go (especially given that I had two of his books one being quite difficult to replace), also he'd fostered friendships with the women serving in the local cafe and other stores. They were none the wiser. So we had a bookshop, closed and shut with a half empty coffee-cup and a newspaper just left there like he'd gone for lunch. That was a month ago and he's still not turned up. Big men came and cleared out the shop apparently, claimed they were baliffs.
True story.
