"Happy Birthday sweet pea." She grinned at her daughter, "Did you have fun today?"

"We had lots of fun!" She let go of her Daddy's hand and ran to give her a big hug. "We did almost everything!"

Picking Rose up, she gave her a kiss on the cheek and grinned while hugging her close. "And now you get to celebrate your birthday."

"I've never had a birthday!" said Rose, feeling all happy and giggly inside. "Never ever. Is there a cake and everything?"

Eros-Phoebe

With Phoebe sitting on his shoulders, both she and Eros yell "surprise" along with the others.

"Can I give her our present? Can I, huh?" Phoebe whispers in his ear, anxiously. It is a lovely tea set. Different from Phoebe's of course, with pretty pink and silver trim on everything in the set.

Rose was so excited, she didn't quite know whether to bounce or skip or dance. So she did a little bit of everything as she went through the garden and greeted all of the guests, who were all there just for her!

"GRANDDADDY!" she exclaimed with delight when she saw him. "You came! You came to my party!" Beaming up at Phoebe, she waved, then remembered her manners. "Thank you for coming!" That was about as much formality as she could manage before throwing her arms around her Granddaddy in a hug (being very careful not to jarr him too much and knock Phoebe off his shoulders!)

Phoebe waves back, waiting until Eros kneels before getting down. With a wink from Eros, her gift appear right next to Phoebe, all wrapped in pretty pink and yellow wrapping.

"I sure did, sweetheart. I hear you had a big old day before you got here with your daddy. was that fun," Eros asks, hugging back while Phoebe tugs on a stray feather, urging Eros to give ROse, her gift. Eros has his own to give, but he will wait.

"It was lots of fun! We went to the book store and McDonalds and I had my very first strawberry milk shake and -- oh, what a pretty present!" she said as the gift appear out of nowhere with its pretty pink and yellow wrappings. "For me?" she asked, looking from Granddaddy to Phoebe and back again. If it was for her, she wondered if she could open it now, or if she had to wait until after cake and ice cream.

She stood near the snack table, fussing over the food that was there. She'd taken hours to make two very special cakes for the birthday girl. One that was already on the table and another that was in holding for when this one was gone.

She knew she wasn't going to stay long, Cupid was here and she was still very uncomfortable around the other God. Aille was as much her daughter as his, but he was the biological parent. What do you say to the man who's child she'd kept for so many years. Even though she hadn't known he was her father.

No, she was only staying long enough to say happy birthday to Rose, give a hug to her daughter and then be on her way.

"Grandmama!!" exclaimed Rose happily as she threw her arms around Brigid. "Isn't it a wonderful party?"

Hugging Rose tightly, she smiled softly, "Absolutly wonderful darling." Crouching down so she could look Rose in the eyes, "Are you having a good time? I saw you over there opening a gift from Cupid."

"I'm having so much fun!" she said, positively glowing with happiness. "I've never had my very own party before. My very first birthday party."

Bliss was just a twitter, the joy that was coming off of everyone was enough to give him quite the buzz. And what he was getting from the birthday girl alone... well... he couldn't help but grin. He already had his presents ready for her because of course he knew what Smith and Aille had already gotten for their oldest daughter. The boots and hat would be a nice addition to her very quickly growing wardrobe.

Watching the kids play in the gardens, Bliss couldn't help but just be happy. His family was growing and they were all happy right now. What more could he want?

Grinning at Iolaus, "Of course I am... She's never had a birthday before... not one of her own... this is SO much Fun" Showing off his multicolor wings for him.

Several children saw the sudden multicolored display and exclaimed with OOOooohs! and Ahhhhhs! Iolaus laughed and shook his head. "Hard to tell who's having more fun. You or the kids," he said as he set a small, neatly wrapped package on the table laiden with gifts.

Brigid - Eros

Letting Phoebe run off to play with the other children, he spots her. What does one say to the woman who raised his little girl to womanhood?

"Hello and before we go further, thank you." Eros starts off tentatively.

Taking a deep breath, she gave Eros a smile and nodded her head to him, "You're welcome Eros. I wish to say that I am sorry. Had I known..."

"Some things are not meant to be known, I suppose. We tried our best and never really stopped, but it never occurred to us to look outside our own pantheon as it were," Eros offers with as much grace as possible.
