i liked this entry. yesterday was a little like that for me too. between class i sat on the lawn and observed the christians-fighting-christians mob for a while, sat on the grass and read, and even took an hour nap right there on sanford. i woke up before sunset, read some more, and went inside the SU for, you guessed it, more reading and tea. the only interaction i had outside of class yesterday was getting tea. i kind of liked it though? i think the best part was napping in the grass in the middle of the afternoon as probably half the student body saw me drool in my sleep. and the best part was, i didn't care! i think its the weather these days that make us so keen on senses. i couldn't imagine having a day like yesterday in february or something. how are you liing desert solitaire? you're right, it's a breeze. (I like it :)
Desert solitare is great. I enjoy Abbey's perspective AND I don't have to decode old english to understand it. It makes me want to visit that landscape though he warns against it. It just seems so extremely different than anything I've ever been around.
I don't think that it was the weather for me. I was seriously just weird, didn't feel like myself. Maybe I hadn't eaten enough or something. I feel like I should enjoy sleeping on Sanford more, only I usually end up with a wedgie or a sunburn.
I really like it too, especially how colloquial and real he is. I feel like, yeah even though it's a century older, that Abbey's work is may more palatable because he's not trying to prove anything, he writes simply to give the experience he had there, not to raise himself up on a pedestal
( ... )
Camping?! Ahh jealous. I want to go so bad before the poop weather starts. I was going to go Saturday, but I went to community exchange thing instead.
That was a good night-space jams! I forgot about that pyramid! Sorry bout your nuts. I like that middle blob picture a lot.
I actually sort of like days like that. OH WAIT! I had one yesterday, too! Except mine was just because I was working on an article until 5:00, when I went to work. It wasn't the good kind yesterday, though. It was just a sort of dead brain zone time. I like the listeny ones like you're talking about. And then when you do talk your voice feels weird and foreign in your throat.
