Skiing is fun!

We went up to Wisconsin for a long weekend of skiing and it sure was fun!
Sarah picked me up in the city on Wednesday night and we drove to Madison - thursday morning after some employment research we finished our journey to the "north woods" - a.k.a. UP Michigan - to Big Powderhorn Mountain! (stopping along the way at Petrusha's in Hurley, WI for some delicious but overpriced dinner)
Incidentally, it really feels like, as you drive further and further north, as though you're driving off the edge of the earth!
Friday morning we woke up and, after minor delaying tactics, hit the slopes! Wow, that is a fun mountain, plenty of variety of terrain and not crowded at all! The lifts are all high-speed doubles (some more high-speed than others) and the layout is such that you can get to any difficulty of terrain from any lift (and you can almost go up any lift and end up at any other lift... not quite, but you can really cross the mountain if you want to!)
At the end of Friday, Sarah went in and got her D40 and took some shots of me, in one you can see me getting some totally *SICK AIR*...
Saturday morning we got up promptly and hit the slopes, stopping briefly for lunch at 11, then "hot cocoa plus" twice in the afternoon at the ski-in ski-out restaurant - MMM feel the warmth! We rode it out until the very last run of the day, including a second-to-last run at *top speed*! It was good, and we caught the shuttle bus back to the aforementioned ski-in ski-out restaurant (the car side of the restaurant this time) for dinner and pool-playing - then back to the room and asleep by 9:30... skiing all day is exhausting!
Sunday morning we awoke lazily and packed up for our return to the "southlands" - stopping, as we are wont to do, at Gander Mountain, where we bought *nothing*, and at the Oshkosh outlet mall place, where Sarah got a nice new green ski jacket for 1/2 off!

Now, whether you clicked for the details or not, the question is this: Who would be up for renting one of the many available "ski-in ski-out" chalets for a couple of days and doing a group ski trip? There's plenty of "beginner-safe" terrain, as well as plenty of "challenging" stuff. Come on, the more the merrier!
