Paris in Black and White (Part 1)

Technically, these photos are rather flawed. I shot them on expired film, seven years past its sell-by date. I then made things worse by keeping the film in my camera for about half a year, which is a big no-no when using old film. The result was a set of grainy, somewhat overexposed-looking photos full of blown-out highlights. And guess what? I like the effect. So much so that I'm looking forward to using the other rolls of expired black-and-white film I have.

The first of many, many pictures of shadows I took on this trip. Brace yourselves -- many more to follow later.

The building you see in the background is Notre Dame, but who cares about cathedrals when she can take pictures of shadows instead?

The Pont au Change and the Conciergerie.

The Pont au Change again. I'm learning to love shooting against the sun.

For some reason I found myself taking lots of pictures of statues of men on horseback on this trip. What is even more worrying is that I seem to have taken most of them from the same angle. Again, brace yourselves. Just remind yourselves that statues of men on horseback are a nice change from trees.
