Nothing like getting all soft and accustomed to air conditioning for 10+ years, and then living without it. Do you think it'd be wrong to put an icepack in between me and Lucy when she wants snuggle time? (I'm kidding, wistfully wishing I could!)

i would suggest a cool towel, not cold but just cool. you can also put the towel in the fridge for about 15 minutes, that should help you both.
