Whoa! Christian Bale. Now there is a male archetype I could integrate quite happily into the aging psyche...! PS How are you Pol? In case you haven't seen it, Louby created a chapter in her Beau fic incorporating the Fry and Laurie suggestion I made ages ago, when we first bumped into each other on her page. Mr. Fry is the landlord and Uncle Hugh turns up as the client.

I only found out about Christian Bale's birthdate earlier this year (quite possibly in January lol). I'd only ever known about Gene Hackman and Phil Collins previously (and those two were never considered 'cool' back in my school days when we compared these sorts of things). Oh, and Rebecca Smart (the young girl from The Shiralee). We share the exact same birthdate.

I've been busy and a little stressed lately (and as a consequence am somewhat rundown today). So, I'm taking this weekend to relax before it all starts up again come Monday. I may even find time to work on that plot bunny I mentioned the other week. It multiplied while I wasn't looking and now I have two of the little furry buggers running around. *eyes them warily*

I did see Louby's latest chapter the other morning before work, but didn't have time to do more than read it quickly and laugh my arse off (and I did think of you as I read). :P I must go back and comment on it; I've been rather lax in my commenting of late.

Yay for the furry little mischief-making bunnies. Chase them down, they deserve it! Christian Bale is by far the superior birthdate sharer although Phil Collins is not to be sneezed at.

Pretty stressy here lately too. My son is due back sometime this coming week and I hope I can get him to stay in bed/eat chicken soup/refrain from pissing on with his mates/leave girlies with germs alone/listen to his mother.It is his 23rd birthday today and he is spending it alone in the transitional barracks at Duntroon. At least he has his phone, so I and no doubt all his mates are furiously sending text messages.

*hugs* I'm sure having him back under your roof will help you both. Good luck with that Not To Do list - some of those might be a bit tough to manage. And that's an incredibly sucky way to have to spend your 23rd birthday (or any birthday, come to it) - but yay for text messages! I'm not sure that you'll be able to avoid a post-birthday piss up with the mates once he's back home, though.
