I'm going to hate living in a dorm, I know it. I'm very picky, and particular about everything. I cannot live in the same room with anyone. I have OCD, which makes it worse. I have to align everything on my counter, on the bathroom counter, etc. I'm going to be miserable in college. I can't commute, because there aren't any colleges for me in NJ. I ( Read more... )

I know it's not much consolation, but it really isn't as bad as you might think.

I'm a horribly reclusive person, and I don't get along with most people at all. The first time I ever met my roommate face-to-face was when we were moving in. I got lucky, and he's a cool person, but I'm just lucky.

I understand that your condition would make you averse to dorm life, but I'm just saying that it might not be as bad as you think.

You know me, you know how I don't like to go out and do 'anything'. I'm reclusive. I make a few friends for life, and that's all I need. I don't need to be all buddy buddy with everyone and don't want to be either. I was forced to room with 66 people during Basic Training and then 1 other person from then on for 3 years after that (had, hmm, 6 different roommates). It really wasnt all that bad. I did my thing, and they knew to leave me alone and let me do it. They didn't mess with my stuff and I didnt mess with theirs. We left eachother alone and was only buddy buddy with 1 of them (Logan, who you and I have 3-way called before and talked with ( ... )
