Ah yes... I did a sleep over at my hous this weekend for 2 only children ages 5 and 6. They really were great until bed time.... next time they stay I will put one on each couch and turn on a really boring TV show and go SHH every time they move. Good luck, hang in there and rem, ember: birth control exisits... people should use it.
See, I don't mind the younger ages quite as much -- I'd prefer a 5 year old over an 8 year old.
I ended up just letting her sleep in my room ( hence why I'm up right now -- I don't work until 1PM, so I can sleep until 10 most of the time. But she needs to leave at 8 ). She mumbles in her sleep, she rolls over and flings the blanket around, occasionally snores for a moment, and generally isn't really the best roommie when you're trying to sleep.
Although part of the problem might have been the fact that my room is swealtering. Something about the AC system means my room is constantly 5-10 degrees hotter then the rest of the house. When the rest of the house is on 78, it's 83 in my room. And while I've slept in weather like that before, I usually have a breeze.
Eesh! Well, if you ever did have kids, I'm fairly certain yours would be broken of those bad habits before they were that age, if only because you wouldn't put up with it!
