Well- I think you 'win' - that's the most marked off from all of my friends.
And the only one I could recommend from the ones you didn't read is 'His Dark Materials' by Philip Pullman. It's a trilogy that the movie 'The Golden Compass' was adapted from. While it's a young adult series, it tackles issues of good/bad/morality - and the powers that decide what each of those terms means.
Otherwise - cool! I hope that you enjoyed reading all of those books :)
I tried to read it. I hated it. Not that the author's writing skill wasn't good, but I hated the whole premise, the whole attitude it presented. I normally love fantasy, but this I hated. I will not read it, nor did I go see the movie.
Mostly, I enjoyed the books. Some of them, I had to read for school or college. Crime and Punishment was one of the school reads. I hated that also, but I did read it, because I was required to. I think it was a crime that it was assigned and a horrible punishment for students to read.
On the other hand, I probably would never had read Lord of the Flies on my own, but it was an interesting read.
