Shattered Dreams ~

It broke my heart watching a 17-year-old girl's dreams shattered in London today. I couldn't help thinking back to being in my 20s and losing a job I really wanted, and how terrible I felt for a time. Agreed: If only character were as highly valued. I could only wish this would be true...

I feel so bad for Jordyn Wieber and happy for Aly Raisman and PISSED that the BEST aren't automatically going to be up against one another (why did they change THAT???). But it shouldn't be all about the medals -- even though that's what brings the financial rewards, no doubt about it... (sigh)

I LOVE your 'bang on' icon, by the way! (woo hoo)

You know, sometimes losing IS winning. Thank God you lost that job! Where would we both be today? This is where we were meant to be, I'm sure of that... (But I remember how it hurt you to lose that job, as clearly as if it were yesterday...)

Life is full of wins and loses and both are important.

Love the icon. The main reason I want to blog is to make icons! I get to mess with pictures of people or things I like, and it fulfills some scrapbooking thing or something. Like my Bang On icon, hehe.
