Oh I don't think you need to worry!
When I see your work I'm always awestruck, not only by your amazing talent, but just the imagination, the fantasy you create, how perfectly you choose your colors. You have an artist's mind. That's what matter, not what media you use or what you choose to draw!

And for the blending thing you know I'm sure if you ever wanted to try that again you'd be just as good as before. Maybe better! It's amazing how humans can learn just by observing! I have a friend who sometimes go without drawing for months and whenever she picks up her pen again she's always better than she was. Even if you don't practice something you still learn and mature and when you try it again you may be surprised how good you are!
