The only problem with this idea is that the actual math behind it does not work. Each individual over 18 would not get $425,000 they would get $425. Not nearly enough to pay down much of anything except maybe the down payment on that new cardboard house in the back alley that I hear is the latest rage for home living.

He's right you know. I never bothered to do the math because it's not like it would ever happen, but he's right. $425 wouldn't get us ever far. Then again $700 billion bail out would give us a bit more, but that's still only $3500 each.
