youkai world reclamation is a Saiyuki reference, and is an interest that's required for membership in one of my favorite communities, radiofreebanri.
mythology gone wrong I might have thought up myself. It's also from Saiyuki, in part, because there was a discussion at some point about how much I love legends and myths, and how much more I like them when people mix them up and play around with them and do things that were never necessarily intended.
anthony crowley's angel obsession I stole from jmtorres. And I don't regret it a bit. It's a reference to Terry Prachett and Neil Gaiman's Good Omens, an utterly awesome book about an angel and demon teaming up to prevent the Apocalypse. Crowley (neé "Crawley," once known as the Serpent in the Garden) is the demon. He drives a Bentley. I love him, and I love the angel, and I love their bizarre and oddly loving relationship, and I love this book.

Big toe is a reference to Kill Bill, V. 1 where Uma Thurman encourages herself to walk again-- after years in a coma-- starting with moving her big toe. I use it as my general 'encouragement' icon, though it seems to confuse the fuck out of people. :D
jaina made this icon, of Rukia from Bleach. I have no idea what the context is. It just make me giggle like crazy, so I ganked it.
I stole this icon from one of my roleplaying journals-- it's from Cal and Sanzo's AU fictional kid, Galfrid. I just love the attitude in it, so I decided I could use it for myself. You just need an "I'm awesome, duh" icon once in a while.
Am picking up on those lost drabbles from Christmas. Yay?
