A Mass Apology

To Any Who Recived An Odd Message From Me,

I AM SO SORRY!

Yesterday I took a painkiller with another medication which had very ...odd results. Just ask poor ElegantPaws as I'm sure I have scarred and scared her off for life. The mixture had me saying things and confessing things I would have never confessed in the first place.
If I sent or left and ( Read more... )

So I wake up today and decide to work from home and I find this in my inbox.

STOP with the self deprication woman! No harm was done at all and in no way did anyone (points at self) take offense period.

I was confused but vaguely amused, cause I went back and read what I posted to see how you could have gotten something out of it. I shrugged and then asked you in reply what you meant. That was all. I didn't think anything negative of it. Trust me, I think you know me well enough by now to recognize if I went off lol!

Not at all. So stop worrying. Geez, I know it is a well used phrase but stop sweating the small stuff.

Sooooooooo not relevant! Have a fantastic day where possible.

Nope, didn't get any funny messages. Don't feel bad about it though. A lot of people don't realize how much brain chemistry affects our behavior, and if the meds are messing it up, that is no fault of yours and nothing to be ashamed of either. Happens to everyone at some point. (Somebody had the misfortune once of catching me online in the middle of a nervous breakdown, at the beginning of a mindblowing episode of seasonal affective disorder, and whilst I also, I believe, had a light fever--yes, all at once!--and oh, the unspeakable things I told this person...I'm lucky she still talks to me, lol).

Don't beat yourself up about it, okay?

lol you have yet to see some of the messages I've typed out for my bosses hyped up on painkillers. This time around I apologized in advance and told them i was on painkillers and if I say anything out of the ordinary and weird, it was due to that.

They all get a laugh out of it and said they've seen worse out of somebody hopped up on percocet. besides, if EP had taken offense to whatever you said, believe me you'd have known it. EP is not quiet about these things

There isn't a person alive that hasn't had an episode like what you describe, and if someone claims as such you can rest assured it is a falsehood. :) If it makes you feel any better, I told my father about my sex life in great detail the last time I was on pain medication. Well, at least the sex life going on at the time. Still don't remember the conversation, but he revisited the topic while I was sober so there's no doubt it happened. Of course, this was the same conversation that apparently included talking to an imaginary bug on the wall! LOL The important thing here is that you kept breathing and that you got to your doctor. Many hugs to you, and here's to better chemically balanced days! Cheers!
